NFL & NCAA About to Clash for TV Time

This is a really good read on the history of how the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 protected NCAA football on Saturdays and gave the NFL Sundays (up through the second week of December). That may change, as the NFL looks to expand and the CFP likely will as well. ($)

I did read a few days ago that the 12-team CFP playoff will conflict with the NFL but then it said that the NFL will play for the first time on Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) for the first time ever creating the competition.
