An Old Big East showdown revives the River City Rivalry for the first time since 2012. Pitt leads the all-time series 8-4, but Cincinnati has won four of the past five, including the Bearcats’ memorable 45-44 win in 2009 to clinch a Big East championship. Sadly, the Paddlewheel Trophy is no longer up for grabs, but this is the first game airing as part of The CW’s new deal with the ACC. Both sides looked impressive in opening wins over FCS opponents and are led by journeyman transfer quarterbacks — Emory Jones for Cincinnati, who took home Big 12 offensive player of the week honors in Week 1, and Phil Jurkovec for Pitt.

In case anyone is wondering, the 6:00 p.m. programming ahead of the 6:30 UC/Pitt game on Saturday is Two and a Half Men.

At least it won't run over the broadcast window and punt the game to ESPNews
