I read that as well. I guess that the thinking was that if the Big 12 got Colorado, the others would follow.

Something that just dropped from Yormark is that the outgoing Pac 12 teams coming into the conference still have 2 years left on their bowl affiliation contract with the Pac 12 (2) and will play in those bowls and not the Big XII affiliated bowls. So they're basically ineligible for a Big XII bowl spots for 2 years.

Big 12 announced the formation of the "Big 12 Alumni Council," which includes two alums from each school. UC's reps are Kevin Youkilis and Jordan Thompson https://big12sports.com/news/2024/7/...i-council.aspx

Plenty of interesting names on here, including the likes of Steve Young (BYU) and Jennie Finch (Arizona).

@sspringersports: Scott Satterfield says Dontay Corleone is back running with the team. As they get closer to camp they’ll get more medical advice before he hits. Satterfield believes he’ll be fine.

He posted an apology note to Twiter yesterday. I think that's all we're gonna get.

I think there's a question about whether schools can legally suspend players for stuff that happens off campus and out of the Student Code of Conduct purview unless they get convicted. Terrance Shannon Jr. at Illinois sued over this last season and got reinstated during the season and subsequently had his charges dropped over this summer.
