Utah had terrible first half offensive numbers but are keeping it close with a pick 6 against ISU.

ASU beats BYU. KU beats CU. Everyone has at least two losses in conference.

Scoreboard for the weekend. BYU at ASU seems important but it's on during the GT basketball game for us.

Max Olsen from the Athletic tweeted that there's a crazy scenario in the Big XII where up to 6 teams end up at 6-3 in conference and we get tiebreaker chaos and maybe a coin flip for the Championship game participants. Based on the current standings, I think we're eliminated from that scenario after last night unfortunately

Barry Tramel who is apparently now at the Tulsa World has a fun write up on the Big XII. ($?)

The most current bowl lineup from theathletic.com ($) has UC playing in Shreveport at the Independence Bowl against ... Army.

I used to work with a former UC player who was there during the Tony Mason era. In 1976, the Cats finished 8-3 on the field, but their 7-3 loss at SW LA was wiped out when the Ragin' Cajuns were nailed by the NCAA for violations. Mason told the team that they had been invited to the Independence Bowl, but he turned it down because he was sure they'd get a call from a better bowl. Crickets. The next time the Cats made a bowl was 1997 (Sports Humanitarian Bowl on the Boise Smurf Turf).

i keep seeing UC in various bowl lists - I wish that I had as much confidence at this point, that they'll make one

    Scoreboard for week 12:

BYU and Kansas might turn out to be interesting. A late Friday night in the desert with Arizona and Houston. Colorado and Utah have the early morning window in Boulder and I'd love to see an explanation for that one.

That's going to be a hefty fine.

I haven't seen the exact play they're mad about but sounds like the officiating was questionable all game.
Update: Mark Harlan, the Utah AD, has been fined $40,000

Colorado beat Texas Tech 41-27 and and has bubbled up to second place in conference. This currently puts them in a position to play in the Big XII championship in Arlington against BYU if the standings hold through the end of the season.

UC’s game, which will be on FS1 at noon tomorrow, will be up against a few other matchups that will be more desirable for national TV viewers (which is why they’re on the legacy networks). There will be some, though, that won’t draw well:
    • Purdue @ tO$U, FOX
    • The U @ GT, ESPN
    • FL @ TX, ABC
    • MN @ Rutgers, NBC [B1G & NYC market, to the extent that there is one for this game.]
    • TX ST @ ULM, ESPNU [Not many will take this one in.]
    • Navy @ USF, ESPN2
    • Cuse @ BC, The CW [Has anyone tried to watch that channel after watching a game in HD? Hard to believe we were obliviously happy to see anything in SD.]
