Just in case you'd like to know Chuck Martin's opinion on the tablets up at Miami, I suggest you search the internet. Dude's on a rantfest this offseason.Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View Post
I don't know if Towson will be doing likewise. The helmet comms are approved for FBS games in 2024. ND State, for instance, bought the equipment strictly for their sole FBS game of the season in Boulder, as well as future use. The technology will be legal at the FCS level in 2025. In all three divisions, teams may utilize computer tablets on the sidelines.

I found Towson's depth chart for Saturday. Their O-line is large, particularly the starting guards (6'7", 330#; 6'6", 355#). The RT is the lightest at 290#.
The Tigers run what appears to be a traditional 3-4 defense, with 2 OLBs and 2 MLBs, as their base. They weren't very successful last season in keeping offenses from scoring.
Towson first played an FBS opponent in 2008 and actually beat one ... UConn in 2013. As you would imagine, all of those games were on the road. The Tigers also came close in 2015 at ECU, driving late to the Pirates' 16, but falling, 28-20. They've played at MD three times (including last year's 38-6 loss), as well as WV (all ugly blowouts).

I expect some bugs here on offense in the form of communications issues and possibly delay of game penalties.

UC just sent out a note that there are limited tickets still available, including something new. Mesh back swivel chairs down low on the home side. Check your email.

I don't think I've ver seen a team bog down inside the 20 so often

So, Lobot, what did you think of our red zone offense last year? lol
It was bad. Real bad.

Don't even get me started on our red zone offense last year.Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View PostTowson's not going to be able to stop the run. We'll see if the Cats can change a bad pattern from 2023. While being the #3 rushing team in the B12 in terms of yardage, they were #12 in rushing TDs. They must be dramatically better in the red zone.
That said, I see it the same way as Lobot: 49-7.
