Houston is fresh off beating Rice with new coach Willie Fritz, formerly of Tulane. Fritz has won everywhere he's been and already knows what UC looks like from last season. On paper this looks like a W but I think Fritz's offense with the pre snap window dressing might give the UC defense issues.

Houston is hungry and wants to climb out of the Big 12 cellar. They think they can do that wih an impressive road win. They played Oklahoma tough, but not sure their players get as motivated playing us as they did against the Sooners. To be honest, I counted this as an easy win in August and now I'm thinking it will be a tough battle. Not yeat ready to predict a score, though I think UC wins a close game.

Losing two straight at home would be unacceptable.

I was at the Houston game last year. The whole game I kept expecting us to crumble & UH to come back. Thankfully they never did. Their team was horrible last year as we dominated from the kickoff till the end.
Unless they picked up a lot of talent thru the portal, I'm hoping this will be a winnable game.

It was winnable on paper and ye olde ESPN predictor gives us a 61% chance of winning. One of the days I'll figure out the formula that thing uses.

Houston gave Oklahoma trouble for sure. That game finished 16-12 and was at OU. They got routed by UNLV at home 27-7. Theat cuased me to raise an eyebrow but it turns out the UNLV is pretty good this year for a change. Rice doesn't impress me at all so it's hard to tell whether the Cougars actually improved in that one.

Statistically Donovan Smith is a wreck. 2 TDs vs. 3 INTs and 11 sacks. Not sure if if it's him or the O-Line.

            Here's the Houston stats:

It's both Smith and the O-line. The offense is sorely lacking, with the defense carrying the entire load.

Totally - As unacceptable as it was when we lost to two straight at home to Marshall and UCF.

Supposed to be 93 at game time? Thanks FS1. This would have been a night game on ESPN+

Therefore white helmets? That's what we've got White/Black/White. Not sure we've worn that one before either with black facemasks

My prediction 24-20 bad guys edging us out. Another uninspired underwhelming coaching performance by CSS.

That means both teams will wear white helmets. The Cougars will be in all white.

I thought Houston was going with Red Helms
