    Noon window. Boooooooo.

The Mountaineers are 3-2 in conference and 4-4 overall. The WVU fanbase has been ready to fire Neal Brown for 3 seasons now so maybe we will tip the scales there.

Garrett Greene, WVU's QB who ran all over us last year, is out with an upper body injury. No word on recovery time. Nicco Marchiol started the last game against Arizona and marched them up an down the field in Tuscon. WVU's defense is a bit suspect as they let Arizona go up and down the field in the 4th quarter on them.

Both UC and WVU have a bye this week. Hopefully everyone on both sides is rested up and healthy and we don't get any practice injuries.

I guess I could have put this under Coaching Carousel too but WV has fired its DC and he’ll be replaced by Jeff Koonz. Koonz was the safeties coach at UC under Tuberville and was one of the few bright spots on that staff.

I really hate the Noon games for crowd enthusiasm and overall atmosphere; however, I like having a big chunk of the day free after the game. No matter if we have a 3:30 or a 7 PM game, it seems on those days the only thing all day is tailgating, game, and home to bed.
Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.

      Intimidate! Dominate! Celebrate!

I agree with you on noon games. The crowd is usually really subdued and not "awake" yet.

I think an exception to rule was the Oklahoma game last season .OU LB Danny Stutsman stated earlier this year that that was the loudest environment he'd been in including Big XII and SEC stadiums.

This is off-topic, but Danny Stutsman just split $50K of his own money among the OU walk-ons.

Bengals could use that guy next year.

People think it’s small so it’s not loud, but it sits down in that hole surrounded by campus buildings that bounce the sound back. It is loud.

I think I'd like to get on the field sometime and see what the acoustics are like these days. It used be before the massive remodel that you could stand on the kicking hash in the horseshoe with a snare drum and do a rim shot. The rim shot seounded like combination of a hollywood bullet from a western and a reeally sharp echo around the stadium. That sound would probably freak people out as a gunshot currently.

Back to Football. We have a shot at 6 wins here.
