HEre are my predictions on season outcomes with a win against Nebraska, and with a loss. Momentum is key and that is a must win game:
Beat Nebraska and could be 7-5 or 8-4
      8/28 Nebraska (Kansas City) - W
      9/6 Bowling Green - W
      9/13 Northwestern State - W
      9/27 @Kansas - W
      10/4 Iowa State - L
      10/11 Central Florida - W
      10/18 @Oklahoma State - L
      10/25 Baylor - toss up, call it a L
      11/1 @Utah - W
      11/15 Arizona - W
      11/22 BYU - L
      11/29@TCU - L

      Lose to Nebraska - 3-9
      8/28 Nebraska (Kansas City) - L
      9/6 Bowling Green - W
      9/13 Northwestern State - W
      9/27 @Kansas - L
      10/4 Iowa State - L
      10/11 Central Florida - W
      10/18 @Oklahoma State - toss-up
      10/25 Baylor - L
      11/1 @Utah - L
11/15 Arizona - probably a loss, long travel
      11/22 BYU - L
      11/29@TCU - L

What I think are interesting facts.

        The Bearcats do not play

        Arizona State
        Colorado
        Houston
        Texas Tech
        Kansas State
        West Virginia

The Bearcats are entering their third year of Big XII football. They have played

        Arizona 1 (2025) 0-0
        Arizona State 1 (2024) 1-0
        Baylor 1 (2023) 0-1
        Brigham Young 2 (2023 2025) 0-1
        Central Florida 3 (2023, 2024, 2025) 1-1
        Colorado 1 (2024) 0-1
        Houston 2 (2023 2024) 2-0
        Iowa State 3 (2023 2024 2025) 0-2
        Kansas 1 (2023) 0-1
        Kansas State 1 (2024) 0-1
        Oklahoma State 1 (2023) 0-1
        TCU 1 (2024) 0-1
        Texas Tech 1 (2024) 0-1
        Utah 1 (2025) 0-0
        West Virginia 2 (2023 2024) 0-2

The Cats are an awful 4-14 in Big XII play. They are also 0-4 against Bowling Green all time, and 0-1 against Nebraska. Coach Satterfield has lost the dominate home field advantage that is Nippert Stadium going a gut wrenching 3-10. The Bearcats must win 8 games or more, if not Satterfield must go.

Drop that to 6. The Bearcats are not going to fire a coach who makes a bowl game, even in the watered down bowl game era.

In the era of the 12 team playoff making the playoff should be the goal for Cincinnati Football, not going 6-6 with a trip to the Pop Tart Bowl presented by Cheez Its.

That game is at Nippert, so the Wildcats will be the one traveling 2,000 miles.

Every B12 team will have at least two bye weeks, with three of them sitting out three times, as they play during "Week Zero". The Cyclones and Wildcats play each other across the pond on 8/23/25, while the Jayhawks will host Fresno State that day.

Last season, 263 teams played in D1. The Bearcats' third opponent this coming season, Northwestern State (LA), finished 0-12 and ranked #262 by Sagarin. That positioned them behind all except one of the Pioneer League's 11 teams, none of whom offer athletics scholarships. Considering that Week 4 is UC's first bye, that's tantamount to back-to-back rest weeks to prepare for Kansas in Week 5. Just don't get injured against the Demons.

I would imagine that Homecoming will be either 10/4/25 (ISU) or 10/11/25 (UCF).

Absolutely, but not every team can get there every year. I only meant a bowl game next year as progress, though hope for much more than 6

Spring games may be gone starting this year. There are several reasons why the big boys would like to see this end. https://fanrumor.com/college-footbal...7tzWFJUfiDUIbw

I'm not concerned about not playing on Friday nights. I like to go around the area to high school games. Beside, they do open the season on national TV on Thursday night in Week 0.
