I don’t like it at all. It was like the golfer who needs a birdie to win and a par to tie on the Par 5 18th hole. So he tries to reach the green in two with a 260 yard shot over the lake. The guy who does that loses 98 times out of 100, when two easy shots will do better than one very risky one. I thought it was a dumb call.

After a few seasons of such calls, we need to consider the source.

I like that they took the shot. I don't like that Sorsby forced it into the field of play and under threw Goodie with time on the clock and the potential for a tie and OT. You throw that ball to the outside where only your guy can make a play on it and live to fight on the next play.

Same old stinking pile of doo-doo. Secondary is not in position to defend.Our recievers can't get open or QB doesn't trust them.Coaches are befuddled.The game ball needs to go to Cunningham for allowing this game that was contractually to be played at Nippert to be moved to home field for Nebraska.Do we need $3 million badly enough to humiliate and alienate what loyal fans we have left? So now we are back to being Southeast Directional State where we get a payday to travel to Almighty U and get our heads clobbered? I thought we left that land 30 years ago. If we have truly sunk this low somebody with inside information please let us know so we can unload our season tickets and Bearcat gear. Hey but don't worry you'll have a great "fan experience" as we tangle with a MAC opponent.

Sorsby got greedy last night with that last pass. A full assortment of downs with 41 seconds (more than enough time) left in the game. Why not work down the field to get a little closer before going into the end-zone? At worse if UC does not get into the end zone, it is close enough to kick a sure field goal and tie the game. UC could have then taken the win in overtime. I thought that Sorsby played some hero-ball with that last pass.

Also, what was with the very odd time-out call by Satterfield with 8 seconds to go in the 4th quarter before the 2:00 time-out? I really did not understand why Satterfield decided not to keep the time-out until after the 2:00 break. Can anyone explain why Satterfield may have done that?

The loss last night extends the UC losing streak to 6 games. Remember UC lost 5 straight games to end last season.

My sentiment exactly on the last play. Sorsby may have miscalculated the length of his throw needed, aiming for the end zone corner, not trying for a jump ball, unless the receiver was 6'-8".

I gave up my season tickets in club level this season. I had them since they built it. Got a call directly from JC last week asking/persuading me to reconsider. The athletic department is failing under his leadership. There is no reason I should be getting a call from the AD, whom I've never spoken, communicated, interacted with in my life, pushing $8k worth of ticket sales.

The effort the players gave was something I hadn't seen to date under CSS and I was thankful to see kids who cared, at least for week 1. Outside of that, I hope the money we made from the tickets is directly applied to CSS buyout in Nov. of this year. I feel based on what I saw last night and know about the team, the have the ability to win 9 games, last night being one of them. It will be very interesting seeing the reasons that cost us those 9 games. My opinion is that they'll be reasons directly tied to CSS that affected the outcome.

It hasn't been mentioned on this board yet that I can see, but where was the C-paw on the helmet?!?! that's an institution no matter how great, poor, average the team has been. My issue with Cunningham, CSS and others is that we've lost our identity that defined our school/programs and the fact that we trade the C-paw on the helmet for gimmick so Nike can push merchandise?!?! We are not a program of endless tradition but the few unique aspects that have always defined and separated our university have been tossed in the trash chasing $.

The C-paw was there. It was on the second C in Cincy.

With the disaster at the end of the first half, I thought we were going to get blown out in the second. That didn't happen, and we managed to outscore Nebraska in the second half even though our passing game was non-existent and the crowd noise created problems for us. We had glaring deficiencies (no passing), but there were positives. The defense was good, even though it was frustrating at times when we couldn't get Nebraska off the field. Our defense bent but didn't break, and only allowed one legitimate touchdown (the other touchdown was after we fumbled deep in our territory at the end of the first half). Giving up 20 points to a team likely in the top half of the Big Ten isn't bad. I don't know why we couldn't pass - either the receivers weren't getting open or Sorsby wasn't seeing them. Two big takeaways: (1) we continued our horrible habit of giving away points in the last 2 minutes of the first half, which really cost us this game; and (2) we sold a victory by agreeing to play this game on Nebraska's "home" field. We would have won this game in Nippert.

well just watched it. Nebraska is not that good either is the Cats offensive playcalling. That was a tuff one to lose especially in the manner in which it was lost.

Nebraska is not that good. That was a game we should have won. OK, we walk away with 3 million bucks, but to give them a home game that should have been at Nippert was insane.

Enjoy spending the money Mr. Cunningham. Under your leadership, nobody is talking about UC Football (or much about basketball). Just three years ago, UC was the talk of the town.... a big screen TV was setup on Short Vine for fans to watch, as there were so many. Now, my next door neighbor, who had tickets for 30 years, cancelled his, and another friend did the same. There are virtually no stories on the local news about UC FB. When we finish 4-8, you need to go, along with the two coaches you hired that are sending us back to the horrible UC sports days of the late 1970's.
