A lot of energy in the crowd to start. Air coming out now, as our defense is just getting pushed around. Our OL getting dominated on run plays. I see an undisciplined, inconsistent team. I don’t know how we compete in the Big XII.

Some thoughts: Great crowd and the student section was fantastic; defense was a sieve until it became a short field; the pass interference call was terrible - the ball was 4 feet above the outstretched receiver; the tiny running back could really juke; our run offense was terrible; need to get Royer more involved - he was the best weapon out there; the stands were kept full almost to the end of the game because we were uneasy; BG dominated time of possession; the Godfather did not play the second half due to an ankle injury and the defense suffered; play call was very vanilla.

Royer needs more touches. He did pretty darn well with the ones he caught. You don't see 100 yards game rom TEs in college very often.
I felt like we beat BG about the way we should have. It would have been more lopsided I think if we hadn't taken our foot off the gas on defense.
Congratulations to Drew Pyne for going 0-2 against UC for his career (ND).
Sorsby made a eye opening comment that he was happy to throw the ball downfield this week. That leads me to believe we were either very conservative against Nebraska or the staff was not confident in the offense going into that game. I could be reading to much into that statement.
Play calling was suboptimal in spots during the BG game. The crowd was particularly displeased with the 3rd down runs deep in your own territory calls.Brent Wyrick
