Many have signed NIL -- also UM pays better than most. If it just about $$$$$$$ I can see them sticking. Kirk Herbstreit's son is on the UM squad. He wasn't all league in the GCL.

    • Wait -- I have read many say that the Cats need a sports minded president like S. Ono. Didn't his love for winning get UM into all the problems they had the last few years. He was in charge. He quickly ran too. In olden days , they were called carpetbaggers. This opens up some discussion between Pino who is tolerating a poor sports program or the likes of Ono who appears to be more than just a super fan.

                Utah is closed.

Thamel — Morgan Scalley has finalized his deal to become the next coach at Utah. The expected will soon become official, as Utah’s coach-in-waiting will formally take over after Utah’s bowl game.

                • IF Satterfield were to be let go (he won't) his buyout does drop significantly on Jan 1 2026 with us owing 70% of his remaining contract instead of 100. I don't see us spending that amount of $$$ right now... but for fun who would you pick? If Jesse Minter doesn't goto Michigan do you think he would even consider coming here? I think that would be my #1 choice.

It's not even worth speculating because it won't happen. Next year will be really tough with all the portal exits and who knows what CSS can bring in. Another year near the bottom of the conference.
