UCF is 0-2 in conference play and 3-2 overall. They are currently 13th in the league but with 2 games in, it is tough to judge. Their two losses are against Kansas and K-State.

Cincinnati Brings Four-Game Winning Streak into Saturday’s Game vs. UCF - University of Cincinnati Athletics - Official Athletics Website
"UCF is coming off a 27-20 loss to Kansas in which it held Jayhawks QB Jalon Daniels to zero touchdowns, but failed to score themselves in the second half. The Knights are allowing only 305 yards per game (No. 5 in Big 12) and former Bearcat Myles Montgomery leads UCF in rushing (75.6 ypg, fifth in Big 12). UCF has not allowed a point in the first quarter this season."

I think that our game times are more about the Big 12 and all of the different time zones. Part of the appeal to the TV partners is that they can have a game in every time slot throughout the entire day. Unfortunately, that means that WVU, UC and UCF are going to be getting a lot of noon or 2:00 games.Originally posted by D.A.H. View Posti had to laugh - as we've been getting a full slate of nipp at noon games, i noticed that the road game at OSU is a night game. WTF does uc need to do, to get a night game.

At John Cunningham's pregame donor (& donation targets) session Saturday, he said he's well aware of the fans' desires for a night game. He & his staff have been working with the B12 & media partners to try to make it happen at a future date this season. He said he's confident it will happen.
Three home games will remain after Saturday's noon kickoff: 10/25 - Baylor; 11/15 - AZ; 11/22 - BYU. [Probably increasingly chilly for each of them.]

If we keep winning, we may get more than one Nip at Night to freeze out the warmer climate teams. I was a bit surprised ESPN moved our Ok St game to night and will have it aired at 8PM (ESPN2).Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View PostAt John Cunningham's pregame donor (& donation targets) session Saturday, he said he's well aware of the fans' desires for a night game. Please don't get me wrong, I'm glad UC won today. Is it my imagination, where it seems UC dominates the first half of games this year, then sits on that lead in the second half? Play a style of "not to lose", making the game dicey? The other thing is by letting the other team's offense dominate playing time, UC 's defense can become exhausted and start making mistakes to the point that also helps the game become dicey in the end.

This was a "ho-hum" type of game. UC played it very vanilla. The defense bent but did not break. The student section was good but not great. No US flag skydiver during the National Anthem. The stands were probably 20-percent empty. The officiating did not take control of the game but did have a couple of questionable calls that did not affect the game. One more win for bowl eligibility and that is OSU which should be a win.

Glad to get the "W". We were fortunate that UCF shot themselves in the foot so many times. Lost two TD's to mistakes and/or sloppy play. The run game wasn't there so we should have killed them passing. The play calling didn't take advantage of their run first defense. Look how wide open that Royer was on his long reception. I'm sure we could have had several more like that. We need to clean up things so we can win against better teams. Onward!!
