YouTube TV blackout options

I have YouTube TV. There are contracts issues, and ESPN has been blacked out so the UC game will not be one tomorrow (unless they settle).

Your best option:

1. Sling TV, weekend option ($9.95). Good Friday-Sunday. ESPN included. No auto renewal.

You and me both BC. We have had to jump through hoops obtain ESPN+ initially as games were going to be there exclusively. Then they slowly started showing them on U, then CBSSports, then on ESPN and then more and more on espn2. I cut cable because I refuse to pay 150 dollars a month just to watch a handful of channels. And now by the time I spend for all the streaming services to get all the channels UC might be on I'm up over 150 again. I guess I won't be watching UC football and bball anymore.

Apparently you can get Sling TV with a daily pass, a single day for $4.99.

I think what people choose to do here is dependent on whether you want live TV through streaming.

The House of Mouse is currently offering ESPN Unlimited (All ESPN programming) with Disney+ and Hulu for $29.99 for the first year. Hulu is an after thought at this point as they are going to fold it into Disney+ in the near future.

Two things - This is a promotional offer for a year only. This does not include Live TV.

If you want to watch Fox/TNT games, you'll either need to do the live TV version of the above package at about $89 or you have the option to subscribe independently to FOX ONE which is another $30 or so.

I feel blessed -- not only directtv but prime (directtv), paramount (247 sports), peacock disney , Max (directtv), netflix etc.. I don't get out much anymore and so while we watch so of the content, I get my sports. I have youtube, but only for the Sunday ticket to see the Bengal. I so enjoy these so as long as the Lord has blessed my wife and i, will keep these. We have no children at home, so no extra expense there except to spoil the grandkids. It has been awhile since I went to a live game. I saw tOSU at Rutgers and the walk was hard on me from the lot. I did go to MSG to see the Cats and to the RAC to see them too, but they are not in the big east anymore. Due to physical problems, I really can't fly, so TV is it.

Oh I only watch UC and tOSU for college football. The Bengals for the Pros and my all time favorite Bearcat basketball. Life is short guys, enjoy what you can.

I do not have cable and do not subscribe to anything streaming. I typically walk up to the neighborhood bar to watch games and have some wings. However, with a 10:15 PM kickoff time, I am not sure that I will do that this weekend. I will listen to Dan on 700 WLW. I can get some housework done during that time. Imagine watching the exciting, close game on Thursday night and then the game went black. If it were my team and I was invested in that team, I would have been pi$$ed.

I hear you, that walk from the lot is getting me too. At my age, this is probably my last year of in person games. I hated walking all those hills and steps long ago when I was a student, it’s really hard now.

Yes guys getting old is definitely not for the feint of heart. I'm still able to get around for the most part but my main problem is that it's not bad enough that Disney is fleecing people with their theme parks and all of their movies directed at kids making billions of dollars, but then they had to collaborate and become united w/ Google / YouTube / ESPN. I don't want to get on my soapbox and list all the evils on broadcast tv but local sports is all I cared about watching. I got the actual notification of YouTubetv's break with ESPN the very evening before I was set to stay up to at least watch the first half of UC/ Utah. That mean also that as UC's bball games were going to be originally on ESPN+ which I do still get because my wife bundled the Disney package) this season only has a handful of games on plus. Most of the conference games are on original or the second, which means I will miss most of the bball games.
