While I hear you, uncoupling the offensive play calling from low IQ WR play is kind of hard. Ineffective leaders / coaches will have their teams adopt their mindset sooner or later. It’s what we are seeing now, bad coaching is fueling bad play.

How about this? Dead last in D1 in time of possession, not because our offense scores quickly, but because our defense sucks so bad. Down 14-0 now, and TCU making it look easy. That a better reason?

One problem with TOP is UC snaps the ball so soon after the ball is set. Routinely between 15-20 seconds left on the play clock. If you are scoring that might be ok. But you can’t keep punting or fumbling or interceptions or giving it back on downs.

I HATE the 3-3-5 defense. The only thing it prevents is wins.

31 points allowed in the first half. We play a junk defense and that’s what we get, junk. Honestly I think our talent on defense is far better than our results. With the scheme we run our guys don’t have much of a chance.
