Are any of the RBs better than Covey? He ran pretty hard in the limited PT he got this past season. And, he was quite effective in the bowl game once he had an opportunity to show his skills. We don't really know anything about the transfers, but Covey was at least a known quantity.

not depressed chris, but i'll throw out a thought or two. on the one hand, I do feel like the staff has a good eye for talent, the hidden nuggets, and I get it, that the $$ saved from letting sorsby go, can be spread around to try to cover several needs. but, geez, they better hope at least a few of these guys are ready to step up a level or two. if not, next fall could get really ugly - the '26 league schedule will be tougher than the '25 version.

Per friend of the program Justin Williams, Sorsby owes UC $1 million -- nice contract drafting if true:

"Brendan Sorsby, ranked No. 1 in The Athletic’s transfer quarterback rankings, transferred to Texas Tech earlier this week with one season remaining on a multi-year revenue sharing agreement with Cincinnati that includes a $1 million buyout clause, multiple people briefed on the deal told The Athletic. They were granted anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the terms of the deal."
