Not so fast, my friend. There's still plenty of Noon opportunities once the conference schedule kick in.

But it's at least 3 games that won't be played at noon!

I don't presume to know the structure of the contract for this game, but I would guess they split the gate in some way. TQL is a fantastic stadium, but not very big for a college football game. Is there really much benefit to moving this game for either team?

                      Yaeger Capacity - 24,000
                      TQL Capacity - 26,000
                      Nippert Capacity - 40,000

This was part of the three-stadium agreement that began several years ago. Originally, this season's game was to have been at Paycor Stadium. I'm not sure what went into the decision to move this neutral-site game to TQL, which is a great venue.

Two years ago, Miami told UC that they needed $1.2M to play at Nippert. UC balked, so the remaining games that were scheduled for Yager and Nippert were canceled. The schools chose to play this year's game to avoid a buyout, which they may still be paying, since Paycor no longer is involved. (I have no information along those lines.)

UC Bearcats football ends Higher Ground training camps after 27 years

                            https://www.cincinnati.com/story/spo...l/89361936007/

“The University of Cincinnati and UC Athletics are grateful for the 27 years football spent at the Higher Ground Conference and Retreat Center and the relationships built with Chuck and Brenda Hail, Mark Lingle and the Church of the Nazarene. With the opening of the Sheakley Indoor Practice Facility and Performance Center, it makes competitive and operational sense to fully utilize a facility that provides everything our program needs in one location, including a state-of-the-art weight room, training room and recovery areas.”

That is sad. The biggest part of Higher Ground was team building and getting away from the city.
