    Western Carolina 9/12 7:00 ESPN+

Western Carolina is not as bad as you might suspect for an FCS team. They were ranked in the FCS top 25 after beating EKU by 24. They then turned around and had their game with Campbell postponed due to weather this weekend and finally played it yesterday where they lost to the Camels by 9 and promptly fell out of the Top 25.

They throw the ball. A lot. They have a D1 quality QB from NC State on the roster in Lex Thomas who has thrown for over 300 yards in both games so far. On defense they have LB Joshua Collins who is a tackling machine with 16 combined tackles and 2 sacks in 2 games.

They do not appear to be a very good running team.

I'd be happy to see them win big w/ the run game, but I'm hoping to see what we have with French & the receivers.

I would definitely like to see a little more diversity on offense. We cannot win against the better teams on our schedule with less than 100 passing yards. We must have a more balanced offense. This should be a game where we are able to gain some confidence on offense.

You got your wish. Passing game much healthier this week. In fact, the whole offense looks great. To be fair it is an FCS opponent. Defense looks a bit porous but still have only given up 10 points.

I muted ESPN+ and am listening to WEBN on IHeart Radio. Much better announcers...

I was going to post that it was so refreshing with so few penalties this year, until they had about four penalties in a row tonight. Penalties always seemed so detrimental the last couple years.

UC could have run out the clock instead of scoring that last TD. That was a low class move.

They have to clean up all of those holding penalties.
