    Miami 9/19 3:30 ESPN+

This will be what I believe is the first college game in TQL Stadium. While the stadium is much closer to UC than Oxford, this is an away game for the Bearcats.

The Redhawks are 1-1 after getting clobbered at Pitt and soundly beating FCS Holy Cross. Hard to tell how good they are in the same way that you can't tell how good UC is right now because of the lopsided FCS game.

I have no idea how the ticket sales for this were structured since it's a Miami home game. I'm assuming it wasn't 50/50 andI know it' not part of the UC season ticket package.

I've also not been in TQL although I've seen plenty of pics of it. Is the Bailey area standing room only and if so, who's student section is going to be in it?

It would appear that they like to throw it a little with a couple of receivers over or near 100 yards in 2 games.

Here is the article from MU about the Pitt game: They only had 27 yards rushing.

I thought we were finished with Miami. Why are we doing this?

UC will not give MU the big payday that other power 4 schools are offering.

Yes the bailey is standing only. That will be interesting. Should be a great place to watch a game...very close to the field. Can't go but would love to see it. maybe they make it an annual thing with mac schools.

Apparently someone who will remain nameless has upset FCC fans who are angry we're playing in their stadium. Newflash!: FCC probably wouldn't exist with the successful run they had in OUR stadium and to boot, TQL wouldn't exist.

Gee, I wish I knew who it is. On the other hand, I’m upset about it too. I thought we were finished playing Miami.

I still love the Victory Bell game and will miss it after this year. A storied, local rivalry since 1888.

Regarding use of TQL, that was FCC's idea. They presented the concept to both schools, neither of which were enamored with playing another game in front of empty seats at Paycor.

Here's the history that led to this game being played: When the nine-game series was contracted, the schools agreed to play three at a neutral site. Two years ago, Miami requested that UC pay them $1.2M to continue playing at Nippert. UC refused. Miami then canceled their trips to Nippert, with UC following suit with respect to Yager. However, neither wanted to pay the buyout to can the game at Paycor. It appears that FCC stepped in to handle that detail, although I haven't seen raw evidence of that.

I've been to TQL many times and will happily do so again on Saturday. It's a great venue, named by two different soccer stadium reviewing organizations as the best in the world.

I was really just upset about playing Miami when I thought we were done with them. Fortunately this looks like the last time. Thanks for the info.

I thought the Miami game added value to UC’s program and its fans. The program is a better quality opponent than FCS schools which helps UC prepare for future games. It gives fans bragging rights. UC has largely dominated over the last 20 years but the series is basically even over the 120+ meetings. A relatively competitive game that serves both fans well. It’s a shame it can’t continue but I understand Miami’s position - they can earn more money playing some other opponent.

In lieu of the rivalry, UC replaced Miami for the 2025, 2027 & 2028 with other middling G6 schools (BGSU, MO State, EMU, respectively). 2029, which was the final year in the contract, remains open. If we're going to face MAC-equivalent teams in the future—which is likely—I'd just as soon play the Redhawks.

UC needs to win this game and keep the Victory Bell. It could possibly be the last home for the bell.
