    Utah 10/31 3:45 ESPN

Another week, another Top 10 opponent. Utah comes into Nippert as #6. To my knowledge they've never played in Nippert before. That's usually a bad sign for ranked teams as Texas Tech found out last Saturday.

That said, I think Utah is much better than Texas Tech and Devon Dampier reminds me a bit of Avery Johnson at K-State in that he is basically the whole offense. Against Houston last night he both ran and threw for 150 yards . He's only the 5th (?) player in NCAA history to do that in FBS.

Utah has not missed a beat on defense despite the departure of former HC Kyle Whittingham to Michigan.

Looks like the Cats got ESPN's attention after the Texas Tech game. I'm expecting a raucous costumed crowd for Halloween afternoon.

Utah will tell us whether TT was a fluke win. UT is a top 10 ranked team but I agree with Lobot that they appear to be better than TT.

UT ranked so high only favored by less than a TD is a good sign in the opinion of experts.

UC came out throwing the ball repeatedly against TTwhich might have thrown them off. Then unleashed their run game.I'd like to see some more mixing it up from CSS this week.

A win and they should at least be ranked, possibly top 20, at 6-2. I will be equally unsurprised if they are blown-out by Utah. I imagine it'll be a question of UC's defense, and if it has improved, or was just a mirage. Utah's D is too good, to get into a WVU-like shoot out with.

I am hoping for a win, but unfortunately, Utah is a very good team.

              Prediction: 36-21, Utah wins.

I am unsure what to make of UC's win over TT. Did UC play that well or was TT overrated? Maybe a little of both? UT will be a measuring point for the state of the program. UC needs to play mistake free football and have some missteps by UT. The pessimist in me agrees with B.C. that UT wins. I will go with 27-14 but hope UC can pull it off.
