Could be wrong, but the student section looked half-filled on TV. NIL does not favor this school at all, in this conference, and the enthusiasm has been drained since Fickel left. Satterfield's a mediocre MAC coach in the CFB bracket. Best hope for them is to compete in the lower half of the conference every year, and sneak into the CFB once in a blue moon. Will need a new coaching staff to even accomplish that.

An absolutely ugly performance today, with the worst crowd of the year at kickoff.

I was there in person. I could not believe the size of UT’s players. UT had superior athletes at every position. UC was totally overmatched today. Much better in the second half but the game was over well before halftime. I left after UT went up 35-6, before halftime.

The team played better in the second half but it was too little too late. They were dean men walking in the first half. How many times could you get a big play and just have it backed up with following penalties?

If you look at the last five games as a microcosm of Satterfield’s deficiencies it’s a “who knows who’s gonna show” type program that confirms he (and Nate Woody) need to go. You can’t run a CFP aspiring football program when you can’t find a modicom of consistency. There’s enough talent on this team to be competitive, he just can’t prepare and play call at this level. It’s like watching Star Wars Phantom Menace over and over occasionally seeing commercials for Empire Strikes Back.

They really are horribly inconsistent over-all. Just look at the scores/results so far. The Arizona game was another stinker, and they just lost to TT today. It doesn't make much sense.

After last week's game the Bearcats gave us a false hope. When the players are independent contractors and not true Bearcats this is the result we will get more times than not. To compete we need more NIL money, and better transfer portal scouting. Until there are more rules on the wild west of college football right now, it does not matter who coaches the team this is what it is.

Satterfield and this dysfunctional team makes it easy to be ready for Basketball. I can't wait until Monday!

Utah is very good on offense and we made them look even better by helping them out with turnovers. Been long time since I've seen UC get destroyed in the first half that badly at home. Usually when the wheels fall off during a game it's on the road.

Utah's offense is complicated or at least it appears to be. I really have a hard time thinking we had a whole week to scout the offense and prepare and got this result. We had guys in the defensive backfield looking in the wrong direction at the snap of the ball and getting beat. The players were trying to communicate and get people covered and it was not happening before the ball was snapped. We gave up at least two touchdown in the 1st half that way.

Damn..I’m posting more in the last 72hrs than the last 72 weeks. BUTTTTT. The Cincinnati Bearcats have pissed me off! This coaching staff is absolutely terrible!!! There are great athletes on this team yet they do not know how to position or manage them. Play calling is a JOKE!!! First possession, 2nd and 1…Take a shot DOWN field you idiots, not some dumb *** stretch play!!! There are sooooo many challenges I have with them. D was very very porous! Utah came out running and gunning..they created alllll kinds of confusion!!! He needs to GO! Terrible coaching!!!

Someone commented that the crowd was poor from the kickoff. I was there and I disagree. The crowd was close to capacity and the students section was filled and loud. However it didn't take long (on Halloween) for people to decide they had better ways to spend their afternoon/evening. I will say that some of our db's appeared to be avoiding contact late in the game. I guess saving themselves for the next big payday. At least we're getting closer to getting rid Mr Milk toast. Can we win a November game?

I thought the student section was fine, but they did evacuate early. But there was something off about yesterday. The energy at tail gate on the Roof Top was very low; one of our group actually made mention of that fact. I generally leave for the stadium around the same time each game (> 45 minutes to watch the pre-game festivities and the band come down the steps) - there weren't as many people along the way. We go through the ticket gates in the Shoemaker Center; usually it's packed with people and it was a ghost town. A lady actually remarked to me about how weird it was with few folks around. Eventually the stadium filled up.

My theory is that a.) Greater Cincinnati is still a family focused area, and that's why night games were important to us, i.e., the kids and their parents do the sports/activities thing early and then UC FB later, (this ain't Columbus) plus b.) it was Halloween which, again, affects families. A lot of regular fans with trick-or-treat age kids probably sold/gave their tickets away to people that don't know the drill.

As the game went on, a fan behind me observed that with so many of the fans bailing, the stands looked like the good old days of the '80s.

One part of the evacuation was one of the lower deck students section across from the Roof Top being cleared for a medical emergency. I don't have facts here but there were reports of medical staff doing chest compressions on someone and there was anecdotal story that someone fell from the 2nd deck into the student section during the game.

I don’t know anything about anyone falling into the student section.
