By doing nothing to debunk the rumors. I am not asking him to step forward like Urban Meyer and I also dont expect him to not listen to Notre Dame if they come calling. I think he is very much open to listening to what ND has to say. I hope after the options are laid out there that he choses to stay at UC. I hope UC is out there putting something more on the table too.

I wonder if "could keep Kelly at UC for a long time" refers merely to the years being added (which are meaningless) or a significantly increased buyout on the contract.

Do not know how you figure this. According to footballcoachscoop.com BK is not on ND's short list of potential coaches. It looks like Bob Stoops is ND's man, after Davie, Willingham, and Weis, ND needs to get it right this time, they need the big name, it is going to cost them about $27 million to fire Weis and his assistants, and it is out there that they want a defensive minded coach and not the second coming of Charlie Weiss, great offense, no defense, after all defense wins championships.

being that coach has been in politics, i feel that he thinks that any publicity is good publicity. as long as he keeps hearing his name and the university of cincinnati in the national conversation, our name is out and about, making us relevant.

I have heard the same thing through multiple sources however there is so much misinformation and misdirection who knows if it is a done deal. It is like trying to figure out why Tiger Wood's wife beat the **** out of him.
