I think it would be incredibly classless for UC fans to be bitter against Kelly if he did choose to leave, considering everything he's done for this program.

Agreed. Can't blame BK one way or the other for his decision. Only he knows what is right for his family and himself. UC has momentum now. No matter who is the coach they just need to build on it. Boise did that and they are in the Top 10 every year. Louisville didn't do that and they fell off the map.

That would be pathetic to leave a national power BCS program simply because of the name Notre Dame, which doesn't mean anything anymore. If Notre Dame wanted a defensive minded coach, they're looking at the wrong one anyway.

Chicago Sun Times is reporting that ND will likely name their head coach tomorrow and that Stoops is the leading candidate. Stoops had denied the report but I think they will name the coach in the next day or two

And shame on Brian Kelly for saying that he would thinking about jumping to another job in the middle of championship week. And it isn't rumor, he said that he wouldn't mind talking to Notre Dame about their job.

If they're naming tomorrow, I doubt it's Kelly. He might bolt for ND, but I don't think he'd agree to anything until after the NEB/TEX game tonight.

To be clear, the name Notre Dame has little to do with it (although I am sure it is nice). The size of the payday and the total value of the contract is 95% the reason Kelly would go - UC can't match or approximate what ND would offer.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I hope coach Kelly stays and we pay him every dime we can afford to. IMHO, "pathetic" isn't the word to use in this conversation, .

It would be foolish for BK not to listen to ND regardless of what he winds up doing. I love my job and work for great people. If someone want to double my income, I'm listening.
If BK should decide to leave I will thank for making me believe that you can win a NC at UC! I will then trust Mike Thomas to work his magic one more time. BK has made the HC position at UC a great job. It wasn't before he got there.

I know. I don't mean it. I love Kelly and probably will want him to be successful wherever he goes. I'm very greatful for the excitiment he has brought to our city and the Bearcats program. It would just be so disappointing if he leaves. It makes me sad.
