Just got a twitter from Tommy G that says Stanford's Harbaugh will be in NY as well.

Whoever gets picked announced Wed? Or tomorrow afternoon?

saw that too...the NY times is reporting that Harbaugh and Kelly will interview tomorrow. This further illustrates that interview does not = job offer.

Folks this all but seals the deal w/ ND. This confirms the ESPN report and I'm telling all on these boards ND offers him the job tomorrow. Say your goodbyes and hope Mike has a replacement in place before the end of the week. As I said in an earlier post PLEASE coach prove me wrong that you'll be on the sidelines as UC HC Jan 1

Point is if he's interviewing he's interested. I've never interviewed for a job I didn't want. Just seems like the Dantonio situation all over again, as much as we all want to think he's not going to leave we just have to prepare for worst case scenario...

You have no clue of what's actually going on, nor are you in his shoes. You've made your point. Would you please not call our coach a "scumbag" on public forum that anyone can view? I don't want myself, the fanbase, and this site to look stupid by association. Geez...

He told his players he wasn't leaving after specifically naming Mark Dantonio in a prior presser. If he meant that, really meant to keep his word to his players, why is he interviewing with another program? He's going beyond just listenng now.

I don't have much else to say. We'll see how it plays out, I guess.

I am still hoping this is leverage. I like the fact that Harbaugh has now surfaced as competition. He is from the midwest. He is a former pro for Indianapolis. He is winning in a tough conference. He may want it more because it gets him back closer to his roots. According to Wikipedia he makes about 1/2 what BK makes now. ND has all kinds of $$$, but if they can save a million a year by that could be a factor when you are still having to pay your previous coach.

I might not understand the intricacies of it but if he does leave for ND isn't it crazy for him to not coach in the sugar bowl? I mean he would be lucky to get that far with ND next year. Isn't it like if Joe Girardi coaches the yankess to the playoffs and when the playoffs start he decides to coach to leave to coach the reds? Without mentioning that he owes it to his players...

If he does leave, he will not and should not coach the Sugar Bowl. At that point I doubt his players would want to play for him anyway, after being lied to.

Time to set everyone straight with real facts:

1. Coach Kelly is going to talk with ND to hear what they have to say.
2. Coach Kelly is still UC's coach

ND has not offered Coach Kelly the job and Coach Kelly has not left UC. Any assumptions along these lines are premature at best.

My issue with him coaching the bowl is that it would become a Notre Dame lovefest. It would be about watching Notre Dames new coach not the Cincinnati Bearcats. I am also thinking that we will know tommorow or wendsday. How soon before UC starts reaching out and interviewing some canidates of our own? Butch Jones anyone?
