    Chuck Martin Grand Valley State

Lakers play tomorrow on ESPN 2 for Div. 2 title.

This guy has pretty good resume, granted all Div. 2 and 3. Defensive coordinator at Grand Valley St. under B.K. in 2003. Get Quinn for the offense and head coach and bring this guy in as defensive coordinator?

He was asked to come to CMU and Cincinnati as a defensive coordinator and turned Kelly down both times.

When asked this time he said that he would take the job, but isn't sure that Kelly will offer after turning him down twice. I fully expect him to offer the job to Martin and Diaco will either be taking a position coach job or will be looking for a new job.

Or Diaco could stay here as a defensive coordinator?
In loving memory, I will be a fan for both of us.

Does anybody know what's going to happen to Jeff Quinn after the Sugar Bowl? Is he for sure going to follow Coach Kelly or is he looking for a HC position somewhere? He's been BK's right hand man for 21 seasons, so I guess I just assumed that he would be hired by Notre Dame as soon as the Sugar Bowl is over, but some posters have been considering him as a candidate for UC. Anyone know what his intentions are?

I really dont even expect Jeff Quinn to be the main man during the Bowl. Practice Starts at the end of the week and we will probally have our guy by then. Plust dont you think its awful odd that in 22 years he has never left BK's side? He is either content or not that great.

He's probably like BK, in that he doesn't really come from a coaching tree, so his opportunities to leave were pretty limited. If BK deserves credit for one thing, it's that he got where he got more or less on his own. Quinn is probably along for the ride.
