  • OT: Real Men of Genius - Delusional Notre Dame Fan

This is a parody of the Bud Light Real Men of Genius commercial using a Notre Dame football fan as the character. Very funny!

After a big win against UCLA, they are now bowl eligible. One more and they'll be fighting for the national championship game.

I wouldn't bash ND too much. In two years, they are gonna be sick.

Won't it take the new coach time to rebuild?

What new coach? Their last two recruiting classes have been the best since Holtz, and this year's is still #1 in the nation. ND lost their qb, rb, and two best wr. Let me break it down for you, to see how those who know see it.

This is the 2004 recruiting class
            Darrin Bragg QB **
            David Wolke QB **
            Justin Hoskins RB ***
            Darius Walker RB ***
            Chauncey Incarnato OL ***
            John Kadous OL ***
            Justin Brown DE **
            Brandon Nicolas DE ***
            Ronald Talley DE ***
            Abdel Banda LB **
            Maurice Crum LB ***
            Tregg Duerson DB **
            Leo Ferrine DB **
            Junior Jabbie DB ****
            Terrail Lambert DB ***
            Anthony Vernaglia ATH ****

No five stars, only two questionable 4 stars. ****, half these guys aren't on the team once Weis brought in the Freshmen class, and knew they weren't going to start.
The current Irish team is young, inexperienced, with freshman and sophomores driving the bus. A brand new DC, and a brand new defensive scheme doesn't help either. If ND has similar problems two years from now, the Irish fans will be leading the chorus's for Weis to leave.
But aside from the media, and those fans who aren't knowledgeable (and just taking cheap shots) about the situation, there is virtually NO ONE in Irishland who didn't think this year was going to be tough, and understands why they are struggling.
It's ugly, but you can see them improving. ****, they have two freshman (Neal and Smith) who are going to be scary, and they are indicative of what's to come.

I think he was being funny in implying that Charlie would be fired. Dont get all worked up man, we've gotta be able to take jabs at Notre Dame fans You seem as if you have true ties and alleigences, but there are plenty of "front runner fans" of your team, and its great to give them a shot We are just gald you are a Cats fan too.
