The teams in the 90's showed up, and played their hearts out. They lost games due to a lack of talent. This team is has talent on both sides of the ball. They are losing games because of not being prepared.

In retrospect, I really shouldn't have went that route, and meshed the too. I apologize.
I'm as unhappy as anyone. I will say though, what this football program has accomplished in the last 3 years (Really decade or so) is nothing short of amazing. And the attitude on here makes me somewhat sick.
Fellas, we have a indoor practice facility, where our pro team does not. All the while, managing to accomplish this with a department that is bleeding money. We have come leaps and bounds. We NEED the people to continue to support this product. If the people that comprise this board have a "it's over already" attitude, imagine that of the casual "walk up" fan.
I'm sorry, some of the shots I have read make me worry about how many bandwagoners we may have, and some of the shots, well I think they're just in poor taste. (Butch equals Kragthorpe's brother??? Seriously?)

Don't assume that we won't watch this team all year, because everyone will. Its just so damn hard right now to watch them!In retrospect, I really shouldn't have went that route, and meshed the too. I apologize.

I'm not an expert on Central Michigan but can anyone with more knowledge on the subject draw parallels to UC as far as what state the CMU program was in when BK left and CBJ took over?
I think it's safe to say we Bearcats fans are stunned. In 12 quarters of play thus far we've witnessed all of about 3.5 quarters of good play - the first 1 and a half at Fresno and the second half against Indiana State.
We're stunned because while we didn't expect to go 12 and 0 (I figured 9-3) we surely didn't expect this. Losing your coach and your two best players is going to hurt any team but we thought we had an adept QB that some thought was perhaps better than his predecessor and a top TE and WR returning for their senior campaigns.
Outside of these three and a half quarters we've seen nothing but ineptitude. Undisciplined play, penalties, turnovers, inability to block, inability to catch, inability to play fundamental football. The last two years we witnessed one of the most disciplined teams in the NCAA; now we're watching what looks like one of the worst in these early 3 weeks.
I am not one to give up on Butch Jones just yet, but I will not sit idle and allow this to continue without some improvement. I thought tonight was a good measuring stick as I have written elsewhere that I attributed Fresno to working the kinks out and early season jitters and I thought Indiana State told us little against inferior competition. Using NC State as a barometer this looks to be a long season.
At this point you can chalk up losses to Pitt and WVU. I'm worried about Rutgers, UConn, and South Florida too the wasy they played the Gators. I'm not even sure the 'Cats will beat Syracuse or Louisville if they can't take a snap properly. I just don't know how the Bearcats can go fro the top of the league to looking like the bottom in a matter of 7 or 8 months.
I will keep the faith but I'll say this much, I've already lost more money on this team this year than I did the past two and I won't be betting on them again until I see some serious improvement. Here's to hoping it comes sooner rather than later as Big East play is right around the corner."In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel." - former colleague to Jim Tressel as quoted in Sports Illustrated.Comment
