Season Tickets for Baseball are now available. Looks like we have new guys this season and their "baseball card" is on the GoBearcats site.

Bad start to the season as we lose all three games over the weekend to FAU. A lot of runs given up in the series.

0-9 Kullman with the loss as he allowed 8 runs in the 3rd inning
7-8 in 11 innings. Joey Wiemer went 3-5 with a walk on the day
3-5 Wiemer 2-3 with 2 walks.

FAU was a pretty good team last year and it looks like they will be pretty good again this year.

UC plays Houston Baptist University next weekend for 3 games.

Another bad series for the Bearcats. We should have been able to get at least 2 from Houston Baptist, but we dropped 2 and had to go to extras to get the 3rd. UC had a lot of trouble driving in runs. They strike out a ton! 15 times in game 3 and 37 times for the series!!! The one good thing is that Sophmore outfielder Joey Wiemer seems to be off to a hot start. He's batting .458 and an OBP of .533.

Game 1: 4-5 L UC had a 2-1 lead going into the bottom of the 8th but gave up 4 and lost the game despite the best efforts of UC to score 2 more in the top of the 9th. Kullman had a nice game going 4 scoreless. He collapsed in first game of the season in the 3rd last week.

Game 2: 1-2 L Decent start from Kroger going 6 only giving up 1 run, but walked 4 in those 6 innings. Not much offense in this one as UC only put together 3 hits.

Game 3: 5-4 W First win for UC on the year. Schoenle went 5, walked 6 and allowed 2 runs. UC had 13 hits on the day and left 15!! men on base. However, we got the win after 12 innings. Jace Mercer went 4-7 on the day.

I'm catching up a little here but we started the season really rough at 0-5 and they've slowly been getting better as the saeon has gone on. The team currently stands at 10-16 if my math is correct. We have an upcoming series at OSU this week starting on 4/3.

The Cats took 2 of 3 at UConn this weekend. The Huskies had been ranked #22 recently and received votes this week.

UC beat Xavier in the Joe Nuxhall Classic 2-1 on Tuesday. Then dropped an extra inning game to Miami yesterday 12-8. UC was down big early and came back to tie it up at 8, but lost it in the 11th.

After UCF embarrassed the Cats last night at Marge Schott Stadium, 15-0, UC rebounded in the first game of a DH to take down the Knights, 8-3. Then, trailing, 6-5 in the 9th of the nightcap, LF Joey Wiemer cracked a 2-out, 2-run walk-off homer for the 7-6 victory.

The Bearcats are now 16-19 overall, 7-5 in AAC play. They take on Miami-OH Wednesday.

Beat Miami 15-5 yesterday. That takes them to 17-19 overall. They have a road trip to Houston for 3 games starting Thursday and then a nice long conference homestand through May 5

I was at the game last evening. If you haven't been to a game, you are missing a good experience. It's a great stadium to watch a game, it's on campus & they sell beer. What more could you want.

All Loserville in this one. 7-0 bad guys. Good guys couldn't get much going only having 4 hits on the day.

But a bounce back win last night against a 23-18 Eastern Kentucky squad, 5-2. UC scored all their runs in the 5th inning.

The Cats have won the first two games against WSU this weekend, 5-1 and 11-9 to get to 21-22. After starting the year at 1-9, they can get to .500 with a win today over the Shockers.

UC completed the 3-game sweep of Wichita State, winning today, 10-4. The Cats had a big 6-run fifth inning, aided by two run-scoring passed balls. With the victory, UC finally reached 22-22.

The level of competition steps up considerably when the AAC's clear top team, ECU, visit Marge Schott Stadium next weekend. The Pirates are 13-1 in league play.
