2024 Track and Field

A pair of Cincinnati track and field standouts will be showcasing their talents in Paris during the 2024 Olympic Games.

Graduate student Naquille Harris and former Bearcat and current volunteer coach Chris Borzor qualified for the 100m event. Harris will run for St. Kitts & Nevis, while Borzor will represent the Republic of Haiti.

Olympic Trials for T&F are up, starting tomorrow 6/21. Alumni Loretta Blaut will be competing in the high jump and Annette Echikunwoke will be competing in the hammer throw event.

Echikunwoke, if you remember, qualified for the Nigerian Olympic team in 2020 and was disqualified from competition along with most of the Nigerian contingent because the Nigerian athletic federation didn't turn in drug test results and file paperwork in time. I'd love to see her qualify for the US and do well in Paris. She deserves it. She is the current African record holder in the hammer throw.

Good enough for 14th place and an All-American status.

Track and Field Set for NCAA Outdoor Championships

University of Cincinnati track and field athletes freshman Juliette Laracuente-Huebner and juniors Dominique Hall and Abby Knouff will head to Eugene, Ore., for the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships this week.

Combined event athletes Hall and Laracuente-Huebner will compete in the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon, respectively, while Knouff will compete in the pole vault.
