I'm curious if people are just sharing streaming services, such as kids in college or small group of friends? Also, some people had a streaming service already and are forgoing something like Sling/Hulu because they never watch regular tv.

Netflix started monitoring usage looking to charge extra if access is from different locations (monitored by IP addresses). They are looking to charge more for "sharing" of memberships. I suspect other streaming services will follow suit if they haven't already.

sunday ticket allows you to have a couple of extra. I just hope I can remember how to record for later playback. I miss the ease of direct tv.

The nice thing about YouTubeTV is you can pause it whenever you want. We don't watch it at all during summer so turn it off until football season starts. And yeah... i think a lot of people share logins for steaming

Hulu goes month by month- no long term contract. So you can cancel anytime and then opt back in when you want.

They are all cracking down on sharing right now. If you're not in the same physical location or using an recognized authorized device you get blocked from viewing. I've been waiting for Hulu to let you add a person for $10/month like Netflix does. They don't seem real interested in doing so for obvious business reasons. I was hoping they would follow Netflix's lead on that but nope.

The Wall St. Journal is reporting that Fox, Disney and Warner Bros are creating a joint streaming platform for sports. It will be available to Hulu, ESPN+ and Max subscribers.

I haven’t gotten into details yet but I honestly don’t see how this is good for the consumer and I’m betting the FTC will go after it.

They've named this joint venture Venu and it was immediately challenged by Fubo TV on antitrust grounds. As of today a court injunction has been granted against the project.

With the advent of the Hulu/Fubo thing, the WB/FOX/Disney VENU project has been discontinued.

A full on ESPN direct to consumer streaming platform will launch tomorrow per the Athletic. I have no idea what that means for people bundling Hulu and Disney+ or ESPN+ but I guess we'll find out tommorrow

I copied and pasted you comment into Google and the results were a lot of mays and coulds, with a a few should see enhancements. You'd think the Evil Empire would be able to provide some guidance on this. If not ESPN, then ABC/Disney. It is incredible to think they don't know what they're doing tomorrow. They know, they have been intentionally vague hoping some people sign up twice.

ESPN+ is Now ESPN Select at $11.99/month - this option does not have the old cable nets (ESPN,ESPN2, U, Etc.

You can now bundle DIsney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited for the $29.99 price for the first 12 months.
