  • ESPN (Again)

Some of you may have caught the announcement last week that an ESPN subscription platform is coming to various cable and streaming devices. The price of the subscription is slotted at $29.99 a month alone. Based on what I've read, this is all ESPN channels plus ESPN+ content. You do not have to bundle it with Disney+ or Hulu with Live TV. If you want to bundle with Disney+ and Hulu only streaming content without the Live TV portion of Hulu, you can do that for $56.99

For people in my boat where I usually don't watch a ton of live TV outside of sports, this is a great cost cutting move either way you go. (until they raise prices). The downside is that you'll no longer get local channels or the channels we associate with cable TV. Just ESPN programming plus the bundled product

What does this mean for ESPN+ subscribers? I honestly have no idea yet. It appears that the same programming will be available plus the major channels as part of the ESPN product.

I should note that there's no announced start date for the product launch but if you think they won't have this up and running by College Football season, you're probably not paying attention.
