Not sure what game you were watching, but UC lost to Wright State 12-7.

Baseball America (not sure who they are) have projected that UC will be a two seed in the west.

The opener of the 3-game home series versus WV was suspended last night. After resuming play, the Mountaineers scored in the top of the 9th to tie the game at 5. It stayed that way to the 13th, in which WV scored 4 times. UC loaded the bases with 1 out, but Enzo Infelice bounced into a DP to end it. F: WV 9-5. Game 2 later today.

The Cats bounced back in the nightcap, taking down WV, 5-2. One more tomorrow afternoon. UC are 9-11 in B12 play, with 10 games remaining.

The Bearcats didn't have much offensively going through 7 innings, trailing, 5-2. With time running out, UC struck for 5 runs in the 8th and beat the Mountaineers, 7-5, to take the series. UC now are 29-17 (10-11 in B12 play).

The Cats have no midweek game scheduled and will travel to Houston for their next 3-game series starting Friday @ 7:30 PM EDT.

UC currently sits as the 8 seed for the Big 12 Tournament. Houston has to win out basically to make the tournament. Today's game was cancelled and there will be a double-header on Saturday.

OT: I just saw something I haven't seen since my days in Class D Knothole. Rhett Lowder and Connor Phillips just combined to walk 7 straight batters in the 2nd inning. The Reds are down, 10-3.

The Bearcats were never in danger in their 8-1 victory over Houston in the nightcap. CF Conlon Daniel made a tremendous HR-saving catch as he crashed into the wall. Probable ESPN Top 10 play today.

UC are now 32 [not 31]-17 (12-11). Finale tomorrow afternoon.

Great double header win yesterday. I watched the better part of both games. Im not sure if we are that good or Houston is that bad.

#20 in RPI, so that's pretty good (#2 in B12, behind #15 KU). The Cougars, who are last in the B12, are #111 (of 308 teams).

It was akin to pulling teeth, but the Bearcats finally outlasted the Cougars in 11 innings in a game that took 4:10 to complete. UC led after the 1st, 1-0, which held until the 6th, when Houston tied it up. In the top of the 9th, Derrick Pitts drilled a 2-run homer to go up, 3-1. However, the Cougars used a one-out squeeze play to drive in the tying runs, as the trail runner from 2nd base kept running as the throw went to first. The relay was late.

Finally, in the 11th, Pitts came through, this time with a single to left center field, driving in a runner from second. Chad Brown tossed the final two innings to increase his record to 4-0. UC are now 13-11 in B12 play, tied with TCU for sixth place.

The Cats will play at Oral Roberts on Tuesday before traveling to Manhattan for three weekend games against K-State.
