  • Connor Barwin

Connor was released by the Eagles this morning. Today is the first day of the NFL fiscal year so this was probably a cost cutting move by Philly.

That sucks, I hope resigns with them or gets picked up by another team.

I'm pretty sure he'll get picked up by someone looking for an edge rusher. He's only 30. Probably has a few years left in the tank. He does so much off the field with charity work that I always feel bad for the city he's in when he leaves.

Eagles apparently also recognize that he'll be missed.

He'll end up somewhere. That scheme in Philly was not for a guy like him.

I will be surprised if the Bengals sign him. If he graduated from OSU then he would already be signed!

Connor Barwin has signed with the Los Angeles Rams, rejoining the Rams' new defensive coordinator, Wade Phillips.

He should be more effective as a line backer in Phillips’ 3-4 defense instead of being a defensive lineman like he was last season after Philadelphia's switch to a 4-3 defense.

                Good luck to Conner.

The Enquirer is reporting that Barwin and the Giants have parted ways. I have no idea if Barwin is comtemplating retirement but it seems like it's about time for him to think about it from my perspective. His last two stops have been one year deals. He's been in the league for 10 years if you want to feel old.
