I'm assuming his team was resting its starters for the play-in tournament thing.

Averaging 3.0 and 2.8 in 11.5 minutes per game... Up to 157 games played in the NBA, per his ESPN bio https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/3132042/gary-clark (Jacob Evans, by contrast, has logged time in 59 NBA games)

Yes, probably less money, but guaranteed. It’s like the practice squad in the NFL. Gary will play for the Pelicans G league team, but can be called up at any time to the big club. So he belongs to the Pelicans. Only players with 4 yrs or less NBA experience can sign 2-ways.

What exactly does that mean and whats the difference between a new 2 way and guaranteeing his contract for the rest of the season?? I suspect he takes a cut in pay with the new deal? Or is it just not guaranteed and both the club and Gary have the right to get out of the contract?? Just guessing. Can someone clarify please.Originally posted by longtimefan View PostSigned a new two-way contract with the Pelicans.

Pelicans turned around and signed him to a two way contract today per Shams Charania

And because Gary’s contract was set to guarantee today, the Pelicans have waived him. What a business.

Don't forget, Gary didn't shoot like that when he was here either. Its an acquired skill and Mick had him low post more often than not. Good for him though, Great kid and I hope he makes it big.Originally posted by bearcatbret View Post12 pts on 4 x 3s. We could use that kind of shooting from our current team.

This is great. He has to completely change directions (and momentum) and has only one step to take for the block.
