    Kevin Huber

Huber penned an article for the Player's Tribune. This is Bengals related rather than UC but Huber is the elder statesmen of active UC ALumni in the NFL so I thought I'd include it.

My wife and I met Kevin Huber’s parents at a reception for Bearcat fans before the 2009 Orange Bowl in Miami. Wonderful people. I will always have a soft spot for him and wish him well just based on that on interaction with his parents.

Kevin's the subject of an interview with GoBearcats this morning.

When Kevin Huber takes the field at Sofi Stadium in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday at 6:30 pm ET (NBC) it will mark the culmination of a journey that began in Anderson Township on the Eastside of Cincinnati and has incredibly stayed in the Queen City for the "hometown hero" and University of Cincinnati graduate.

Huber and Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Marquise Copeland will be the 19th and 20th Bearcats to play in the Super Bowl, and one will become the 14th former UC football player to earn a Super Bowl ring. Sunday will also mark the 25th Super Bowl featuring a Bearcat.

Kevin is about retirment age and has an actual challenger in camp this year with Drue Chrisman. This was Kevin'sline
                Kevin Huber 2 75 37.5 0 2 44
He got two inside the 20. Chrisman outdid him on yardage by quite a bit on the same number of punts but got nothing inside the 20.

Huber has always been about accuracy with the ability to put the ball close to the end zone without going in. I don't put much credence in just being able to kick in far, but I could be wrong.

Cpaw, I was thinking the same thing. Distance does matter unless you are trying to trap inside the 20. Kicking from your own 20 is far from kicking from the visitor's 45.

Any idea how many of the draft picks made their teams?

The Seahawks cut Joel Dublanko. The Colts dropped Curtis Brooks.

The Saints cut former UC LB, Eric Wilson.

I can't find mention of any others.

Here's the explanation of Huber making the team ($)
