NBA summer league start tonight. Charlotte is scheduled at 8:00 on ESPN if you want to tune in and see if Nolley gets some run tonight

It would have also have been his sixth year of college as he sat out his first year at VT so I can fully understand wanting to move on regardless. At some point, college is over.

Cincinnati graduate and former men's basketball standout Landers Nolley II signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the New Orleans Pelicans early Friday morning.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum-salary NBA deal that allows the franchise to convert the contract to a two-way contract if that change is made before the start of the regular season.
For ‘22-23 the minimum contact was $1,017,781.

Just goes to show you that even after four years of college one doesn't always think through or have the ability to think through the advice given. Perhaps we listen to flattery of our inflated worth or an agent takes a gamble to increase their commission. It was a shame as I understand the need for money to a youth. Steve was a very good player who worked hard to get in shape and learn the game. Sadly, we can't undo our past. He did leave UC with a college education and a good name in the community. That is a heck of a start that many don't have.
