Dillon Mitchell - 9.1 points, 6.7 rebounds (7 starts out of 19 games) for St. John's
Dan Skillings - 10.7 points, 6.6 rebounds for Baylor, who is 1-5 in the Big 12
Arrinten Page - 12.8 points, 5.8 rebounds for Northwestern, who is 0-7 in the Big Ten
Josh Reed - 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds for Penn State, who is also 0-7 in the Big Ten
Tyler Betsey - 7.9 points, 2.8 rebounds (40% from 3) for Syracuse
Rayvon Griffith - 4.7 points in 14.5 minutes per game for Kent State
JJ Rembert - has played sparingly for McNeese State, scoring 4 points
CJ Anthony - 14.4 points, 5.7 assists for Iona
Connor Hickman - 12.8 points, 4.1 rebounds in 14 games for Charleston (still not sure how he is eligible)

There's a good likelihood that none of those players feature in the NCAA tournament this season. Hickman might have the best shot of the bunch.

I witnessed Dillon Mitchell have one of his best games of the season so far, as his St. John's team came back from down 15 in the 2nd half to beat Seton Hall at MSG. Mitchell finished with 17 & 11, although he only went 3 of 8 from the line and airballed his only 3 point attempt. The most interesting development was that he was used as a point forward for most of the evening as St. John's doesn't have a certified point guard in their starting line-up.

yes -- Meadowlark Lemon Goose Tatum Marques Haynes even saw Wilt play with them upon his problems at Kansas.

Pretty impressive for a guy who rarely saw the court under Wes. Makes one wonder. Is anyone surprised that Wes can’t gauge talent and skill?

I think that CJ is more of a true basketball player versus the athletes that seem to dominate the game today. I am really happy for this young man.

CJ Anthony had 20 points on 19 shots with 3 assists, no turnovers, and 4 steals at St Johns. Got to the rim 7 times. Best player on the court with a 16.5 BPM. Very impressive.

I noticed former Bearcat Josh Reed playing for Penn State last night. Out of curiosity, I looked up how transfer Bearcats are doing this season (per game average)
Arrinten Page, Northwestern:
15.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.1 blocks, 1.2 steals
CJ Anthony, Iona:
15.8 points, 6.1 assists, 3.3 rebounds
Dan Skillings, Baylor:
11.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists

Everyone has improved dramatically except Skillings who is off to a slow start, and Reed who has held steady.

I'm really happy for CJ Anthony and Page especially. Both have become high usage, efficient primary options. CJ has a 34% assist rate and a 75% free throw rate! He's already attempted 61 free throws - no one on our squad has attempted even 40. Page has cut down on fouls and turnovers while becoming a great passer (2.6 apg) and finisher (86% at the rim).

At the rate that he is going, it makes me wonder if Iona would beat UC this season.
