Freese was the problem not Yancy. Yancy got the blame but that was displaced,

Nasty Nati wins on a GW shot by Evans. Zip ‘Em Up zipped up. 77-73

UC blew a 30-11 lead, held on late after recapturing the lead. X cut it to one, Troy missed a FT that would’ve won it, Jake crossed up I think Nate Johnson and hit a 3 for the dub.

Regional final 7 pm on Monday (ESPN+) at Cintas versus #1 The Program for Autism.

So where does the money go if the program for autism team wins the tournament?

That game was much like the recent run of regular season games. Get our early, and you put yourself in a position to win the game. I think they led at the end of each quarter which is a good lesson for recent shootouts. Hard to win from behind. Congrats and I'm hoping to go Monday night. JC and JE are the two best players on the court.

Looks like it goes into a grassroots basketball facility being built in NYC. Three of the current players on the team are parents of autistic children.

Nasty Nati wins easily, 76-51. Move on the QF after winning the Xavier regional.

                      Cumberland 26, Evans 23.

I forgot how much I enjoyed J. Cumberland. Too bad he had to end his time with that coach.

No matter what happens the rest of the way, hopefully Cumberland and Evans can get some exposure. Evans may still not be able to travel overseas but we’ve also seen TBT lead to guys getting NBA looks.

Really enjoyed watching that. They could really make something of this tournament by having teams full of alumni.

Scott Springer writeup -- including a quote from Mick Cronin who watched from home on ESPN+ https://www.cincinnati.com/story/spo...e/70453298007/
                              ...
UC's alumni team has a week until they square off with the Dayton regional champion Monday, July 31 at 7 p.m. at UD Arena. That regional's games start Wednesday and run through Saturday with the winner facing Nasty 'Nati after that.

During the week, there have been hints of a player or players being added to the Nasty 'Nati roster. Former Bearcat Keith Williams is already on the roster but didn't play in the games at Xavier. Tre Scott was also on the roster but opted not to play after signing an NBA two-way contract.

"Next week we might have a new piece or two so just stay tuned," GM Johnson said.
