I was listening to 1530 homer on wed. or thur. and they said Dontonio Wingfield was sitting courtside at northwest vs. walnut hills watching his son. Does anyone know what grade he is or what kind of talent? His dad was awesome, if he has the same talent that could be a great catch for the cats!!!!!!

DW did a lot of stupid things in his youth at UC and in the pros. After his car crash and near death, he has been absolutely incredible. There was a series of articles about him last year that highlighted his activities with the youth in his home gym. He has been an inspiration to a lot of youths. Hopefully, he is instilling the faith and responsibilities into his several children.

I think your use of the word "awesome" is a bit off, but DW Jr. is class of 2013.

Huggs has said more than once that Wingfield was the best talent he ever coached as a freshman.

Can you give us anything else, is he built like his dad, as skilled as his dad? Remember Wingfield was Top 5 in his class coming out of high school. It truly is a shame he couldn't keep his off court life in check. He could have been a NBA star.

I saw DW Jr. play a few times last year at Walnut Hills. The team had like 40 wins or some crazy number as DJ was just one of four talented kids on the team. But DW Jr. is very good. Is a PF/SF type of player. Lot of time left.
