TBT - The Basketball Tournament 2024

UC just announced that the TBT regional will be held at 5/3 this year. Nasty Nati will be playing in front of the home crowd.

Several players who committed to playing for Nastynatti (?) didn't show for the first game. Come on! There is more commitment to play at the neighborhood pick up game. I also would like to see more common sense team identity. Maybe Bearcat alum, etc. I love the ELAM idea, and I think it, or some modification of it, should eventually be used in regular NCAA games. Anyway, I guess I'm just frustrated that a potentially great idea seems (to me) to not have lived up to its potential.
I get what you're saying but those guys didn't show is because they were obligated to NBA Summer League games and that was also the weekend of the Crowdstrike computer meltdown that grounded a bunch of airlines. Troy Caupain barely made it to the game at all because of all the flight delays. I think he got there right before or after tip

Concerning the hot hand Moore had against UC and not at UC. Did anybody bother to guard him Friday?

Was looking for the archive and just noticed that the coach of About Billions is MIke Pilgrim.

The ending of that game was pretty chaotic. Lots of turnovers, fouls, missed front ends, ill advised time outs from both teams. Nasty Nati came back from 16 down to take the lead with multiple chances to win and basically fumbled it away. I"m not sure if if it's archived.

At least the Xavier alum team got run off the court

Horrible, ugly, embarrassing loss. Cumberland missed his first 16 shots and was plain awful for the first 3 quarters.

Multiple TOs on both sides and a foul on AB. Deberry at the line misses front end. AB wins it

63-61 AB. Target score for the Elam ending is 68. This is as close as it's been since the half. Cumberland just freight trained his way to to and and 1 after a steal.

Update: Cumberland with the bank and we'rer up 64-63. Coming back from 16 down

    About Billions 28

    Halftime

One of the most ridiculous halves of basketball you could imagine. Both teams down to 6 total players after a multitude of ejections following a mini-brawl in the 2nd quarter.

Good news is that the ejections benefitted Nasty Nati because they only lost Diarra while AB lost at least 5-6 players who ran off the bench as all of the ruckus was going down.

Remaining NN players are Caupain, Cumberland, Morman, Oct Ellis, Deberry and Brooks.

    Letcher-Ellis is also unavailable.
