    Corey Kiner

The UDFA officially signed with San Francisco per the 49ers

Not sure if this is accurate but the following page says he signed a 3 year deal for almost $3M, including a base salary of $840,000 in 2025 (and $255K guaranteed). https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_...31/corey-kiner

That's great. I'm not an expert on NFL contracts but I'm thinking him getting any guaranteed money as a UDFA is not normal. Am I right in thinking that?

During the draft season, I recall one writer stating that Corey may be one of the best out there if you look at production and not height, weight, or long-lasting speed. Things like yards after contact, etc. were some of the metrics that this writer mentioned.

Just got carted off. Possible ankle injury to end a 19 yard run.

Sounds like he'll be out over a month, per tweets from a new Shanahan presser

The 49'ers waived Corey Kiner, with an injury designation, reverting him to the IR.

Anyone know what happened to Corey?? It looks like SF released him on September 13th due to the ankle injury but I can't find those posts anywhere and the last time I looked, he was no longer listed on any of the 49ers rosters.

After SF waived him with an injury designation, Kiner cleared waivers & SF placed him on IR. Done for 2025. Unknown if they'll try to give him a 2026 contract.

so, if CK was on IR with SF, could the Vikings activate him this year, if they had the need? Or, are they just looking to bring him to camp next summer? I thought that IR basically ended your season.

When placed on IR, you have to remain there for 4 weeks minimum, I believe. Not sure how it works when picked up by a team other than the one who placed you on IR.

In any event, glad to see him picked up. Hope he heals well and picks up where he left off.
