2000 time period.
"Q: Who on earth is that woman in the front row of every game?
A: Oh, you mean Bearcat Nikki. More specifically, she's Nikki Galea, a student, ardent fan and first in line when student tickets come up for grabs.
She also loves cropped shirts, which allow her to use her exposed midriff for messages. Those started out simple, one athletic department staffer says, usually a C-paw. Later, for Crosstown Shootouts, it shifted to “Beat X” or the Xavier logo in a circle with a line through it.
Lately, the messages have become so elaborate that people have begun referring to her as “the message center.”
