Jake Weingarten: Top-50 junior Tyler McKinley is currently on the start of an official visit to Cincinnati, he told @Stockrisers. Tons of recruiting momentum at the moment for the Bearcats. McKinley waited to announce he’s visiting till day of because he surprised his mom back in Ohio.

(That's cool he surprised his mom but it's been out there for several days ha)

on3 predictor currently shows UC as a strong favorite to land McKinley -- though I bet their algorithm just factored in that he took a junior year official to UC https://www.on3.com/db/tyler-mckinley-150973/

Chad Brendel recently said on a BCJ podcast (I think Monday's BBP) something to the effect of he thinks it would ultimately come down to UC and Xavier (OSU has been involved but probably less of a factor)

It's nice that Tyler is attending school in Missouri now and came in for a weekend and visited UC and, to my knowledge, not Xavier.

Two points from the article: He mentioned wanting to visit five schools. UC wasn't among them (TN, XU, tO$U, MI St, WV). McKinley did not specify whether these would be official or unofficial. He'll cut down his list after the Peach Jam at the end of July.
