Well, might as well get this started. This thread is intended to be news-based and not for people to start trashing any Bearcats or saying this person or that person should leave.

My vision:
- Post any noteworthy transfer portal news around college basketball
- Post any UC portal-related updates if/when they happen
- Post any news of transfers who UC contacts or shows interest in

This is a bit off-topic, but relevant to the anxious comments that everyone has had with trying to ascertain UC-related portal news. Unfortunately, we need to keep Chad Brendel and his family in our prayers. He received very bad news concerning his wife's health. Chad usually is one of the first to get solid information on recruits, but that is secondary now.

Kelly Brendel has passed away. She was 45.

Xavier lands UTEP transfer Souley Boum, a 6'3 guard who averaged 19.8 ppg this past season. Believe he has one year left.

Memphis transfer Emoni Bates' list consists of Seton Hall, Louisville, Michigan, Eastern Michigan, DePaul and Arkansas… Goodman thinks it will be Louisville or DePaul.

UC has reached out to former 4-star 7 footer Xavier Foster (2020 recruit) who was kicked off of the Iowa State team after a brief stint, but since cleared / no longer a suspect in a 2020 sexual assault investigation

Six Tigers have entered the portal, and one transfer (Kendric Davis, formerly of SMU) is coming in. Four have put their names in for the NBA draft. Of those, Josh Minott and Jalen Duren won't return, while Lester Quinones and DeAndre Williams are testing the waters and might return).

Goodman:

Players have to provide written notice (to current school) of intent to enter transfer portal by 11:59 p.m. May 1 in order to be eligible for the one-time transfer waiver. Compliance department then has two days after that to enter the player into the portal.
