I agree. We're after a number of top 100 players in multiple classes. I don't think we've been in play at this level since Huggins.

I am excited about this guy also, plus several of the other big names being bandied about. I think some of the lack of buzz is apprehension about getting too emotionally invested until we actually land a few. We have to feel like these guys are realistic and not just pie in the sky. Griffith is a start and a few more will blow this site up. Keep in mind we are a fan base that is used to Micks recruiting approach of getting tough 3 stars and molding them into Bearcats. Wes has raised the bar tremendously and is going after the very best prospects, kids that Mick had resigned himself to the fact he couldn't get and therefore didn't waste the resources. We are all in wait and see mode and Wes is doing a great job of promoting our brand and at least getting serious looks from top players. This is the first time probably since Catlett that we are involved in so many top 100 kids. I don't count Lance because there were extenuating circumstances there and he was available late after most had completed their recruiting and kinda fell into our lap. Wes is taking our tradition and marketing it well, but there is a culture change in progress. A few beaks our way and this thing could really get rolling. I am encouraged, optimistic and very hopeful but this could either be unbelievably awesome or a crushing blow - hence the site caution. GO BEARCATS !!

Huggins landed a few for sure but not that many considering his duration. Dermar, Satterfield, Fortson, Wingfield, come to mind but I still feel like he built on jucos and tough guys who wanted to fight for every rebound.

On last night's BBP (Bearcat Journal) podcast, Chad pointed out that he is Nigerian and attends Hamilton Heights (TN) -- just like Abdul Ado (now in a grad assistant role). They spent a good amount of time together on the visit.
