Shon Abaev 2025 FL SF 6'7 commit

Abaev is a 4 star top 50 player in the 2025 class. Had a great showing at the NBPA Top 100 camp recently. He has a pretty decent offer list and is a ASU lean for right now. He's out of Calvary Christian Academy in Ft. Lauderdale and plays AAU for SOH Elite.

Abaev's offer list includes some very strong programs, as one might guess for a top 50 talent (Auburn, Creighton, IL, KS, & TN, among others). UC is fishing in a whole different pond now, with opportunities that come with B12 membership.

Abaev lit up the UAA Elite game this past weekend with 22, 10 and 7. This video was interesting to me because you can see the talent and some NBA level moves in this kid.

Finkelstein dropped Abeav’s name at the end of the Keyshaun Tillery commit video as somebody UC is looking at, saying we’re not done yet. We seem closer here than I thought, and he would be a gigantic pickup.

This guy is very crafty with great size for a wing. I do not know if UC can get this guy. I would imagine that a tremendous amount of NIL money is being thrown his way. In life, you win some and you lose some. But you cannot win any if you don't try. I commend Coach Miller and staff for going after this guy. If UC can get this guy, that would be a game changer. This is the type of guy that Cronin would have never gone after. My guess is Abeav will sign with Arkansas and John Calipari.
