maybe a different spin - if this belongs elsewhere, sorry - no problems if the mods need to move it. but, of the guys that have left uc - charlotte (with wes), UD, and a "project" for fsu, which, while P4, is not exactly a bball powerhouse. were the problems the last year or two talent, or wes, or both. it doesn't look like the ex-cats are being gobbled up by big time schools. i guess tillery will be a barometer. but, no mumbo jumbo stats on this, do the others seem underwhelming to other P4 programs?

We're one of many schools to reach out to Prophet Johnson, 6'3" combo guard from Mike Bibby's Sacramento St squad. Posted a 3.7 BPM as a high usage all around player. Shoots more from the rim than anywhere else on the floor and converts 60%. Made 37% from deep. High steal rate and takes care of the ball (had more steals than turnovers on the season). Elite rebounding for a guard (5% OReb, 17% Dreb, 7 rebounds per game). Only two top 50 games but he recorded an eye popping 9.6 BPM. 13 pts, 10 reb, 4 assists, 4 steals at UCLA. 21 pts, 7 reb, 4 assists, 2 steals at Baylor.
This is the kind of do it all guard I'd like to bring in.

He also played a year of Juco. Trying for 5 schools in 5 years.Originally posted by BigDaddyCornHusker View PostProphet Johnson is from Dayton. He's made good use of the portal. His next school will be his 4th (Fairfield, Southern Utah, Sacramento State). Maybe he's ready to play closer to home.

I believe Grant Randall is visiting this weekend.
Originally posted by sedz View PostRandall posted a 1.3 BPM as a sophomore. A low usage guy who is a good rebounder at the 4. Takes care of the ball but not a creator at all. 34% of three on 4 attempts per game, all of them assisted. Not a shot blocker. I could see him in a backup 4 role.

Carson posted a 4.3 BPM with a solid all around game. Average usage efficient scorer (55% eFG), good rebounding for a guard (7% OReb), takes care of the ball, 2.0 DBPM with a high steal rate (3%). Another guy who averaged more steals than turnovers. Only top 50 game was in the NCAA tourney against Michigan St where he recorded a 5.1 BPM with 11 pts, 7 reb, 6 assists, only 1 turnover. I like this guy. Calhoun is looking at versatile backcourt players.Originally posted by swilsonsp4 View PostPer Chad Brendel, ND State guard Trevian Carson is on campus today. 6'3", 200#. Played at NDSU only for 2025-26, after two JUCO years.
11.9 ppg, 5.7 rpg; 48% FG, 37.5% 3P, 80.3% FT.

We all have our reasons why we make the choices that we make. Tillery would more than likely win the PG spot if he stayed at UC. Calhoun would really have to get lucky to find a PG in the portal that would take the spot from Tillery. What PGs are UC currently looking at that are better than Tillery?Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View PostRob Wright sticking with BYU
Maybe Keyshuan Tillery would want to do the same?
Tillery would be one of the leaders on the team if he stayed. Man, Tillery may be passing up a great opportunity.
This could be his team.Last edited by leeraymond372@gmail.com; Today, 05:29 AM.
