For anyone needing a Bearcat basketball fix... Chad Brendel had Justin Berg on last night to discuss yesterday's open gym, which featured the 22-23 team and also a bunch of the guys around/in town for TBT (Evans, Caupain, Cumberland, DeBerry, Ellis, Broome, etc.). Good discussion about the guys on the roster, with the caveat being it's just summer hoops. But still a nice listen/watch. Almost an hour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40A_WIrUcfE (also on BCJ's podcast)
Mika Adams-Woods -- plus Abdul Ado, Sam Martin, Hayden Koval -- earned NABC academic honors. Not sure what that entails, but congrats to MAW and the others!
The more I see Wes the more I appreciate him. What an articulate class act we have leading our program. We should be thankful.
He has definately gotten us in the mix with much higher rated guys than previous staffs. It seems to be a reflection of his sincerity and the culture he has established. Players love him. Converting some of the interest into 4 and 5 star committments is very tough but we are in the mix more than we ever have been. Keep up the good work Wes and staff and stay the course.

Wes is great indeed. But to pretend that there aren’t other factors in play with landing Rayvon or other high profile recruits is foolish. There are factors at play that the previous 2 coaches didn’t have the luxury of.
Maybe so but Mick wouldn't have even tried for the type of guys Wes is chasing. I believe the coach and culture are much more important to recruits than the conference they will play in in 2 years.
Some clips from Smith’s League posted to Instagram accounts of Jarrett Hensley and Jeremiah Davenport. Jeremiah went off, lit it up! A few nice alley oops to Hensley (believe I saw Eason in some clips as well).
A few days ago, Strength Coach posted some clips of basketball team measuring their vertical leaps. Hensley looked insane! He seems like he has all the athletic abilities, just needs to build that confidence…which it looks like he is doing.

Jarrett Hensley is playing on a touring team that is in Spain this summer. The team is called the East Coast All-Star Basketball Club. The club is based out of New York and they were able to get their first win last night against Sant Julia in Barcelona.
