Already posted in the Xavier game thread, but first NET rankings dropped today (UC #14!) https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basket...ll-net-ranking

UIC is #52, though on a 2-game losing streak -- but would be great for them to stay inside the top 75 or so

Obviously UC will have plenty of opportunities for marquee wins in the Big 12 (and a boost in strength of schedule)... XU is top 75 and Dayton is top 50, so a road win at X and a neutral win versus UD could also be Quad 1 wins. Evansville (Dec. 29 opponent) is inside the top 100 and would likely be a Quad 3 game, but still nice to wrack up wins against teams like that (FGCU, yesterday's opponent, is barely inside the top 300).

Hopefully our guys saw what kind of effort it's going to take to have any chance to exit Cintas with a win. They know how hard Houston battles and they barely escaped unbeaten. That place is a snakepit for visitiing teams.

This kind of worries me. Either Houston had a bad day or Xavier had a good one. Or maybe Xavier is better than broadcasted.

Come Dec 16th, will have little room for a lack luster game.
