Already posted in the Xavier game thread, but first NET rankings dropped today (UC #14!) https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basket...ll-net-ranking
UIC is #52, though on a 2-game losing streak -- but would be great for them to stay inside the top 75 or so
Obviously UC will have plenty of opportunities for marquee wins in the Big 12 (and a boost in strength of schedule)... XU is top 75 and Dayton is top 50, so a road win at X and a neutral win versus UD could also be Quad 1 wins. Evansville (Dec. 29 opponent) is inside the top 100 and would likely be a Quad 3 game, but still nice to wrack up wins against teams like that (FGCU, yesterday's opponent, is barely inside the top 300).Last edited by GoBearcats31; 12-04-2023, 12:13 PM.

If you follow the Non Conference schedule trend, there's a lot of Ls in here.
The bright side is we have a a lot of opportunities to move up in Kenpom and in the NET rankings on strength of schedule. That's the kind of thing that landed WVU in the NCAAs last year despite a bad conference record.Brent Wyrick
