Actually I remember a few years we were in some tournament with Florida Gulf Coast, our next opponent, and I think the games were on the Sun Network or something like that. You may have even had to go through UC's website to watch. My memory has forgotten some of the details but that was the worst broadcast I have ever seen. The Howard broadcast was better than that one.

    It’s pretty simple to me.

Like others have said, I was happy just being able to watch the game. No it wasn't perfect but it was available and the Cats got the win.

I was thrilled that we were able to escape with a hard fought victory! Lets move on to Florida Gulf Coast.

All things considered, I was happy to be able to watch the game. I also enjoyed seeing their fans, both children and adults, having a good time.

I warned you all that the production quality might be interesting. After Tulane last year, you could see it coming. We weren't even sure it was going to be on TV a few days ago. At least it was actually broadcasted.

I honestly didn't catch much of the game last night due to prior obligations but what I did hear from the TV announcers was HS Community access cable level quality. I'm not sure those guys were pros and if they were I suspect it was a last minute call from someone that got them there. That might explain the lack of prep work.

Look at the bright side. It's unlikely that we will play there ever again and you only had to deal with it once. Imagine being a Howard fan and possbily dealing with that all season.

Lake in - They could have asked a manager or someone from UC how to pronounce the names. I know UC furnishes media guides so they should have known who Jizzle's Dad is. That is just good work and preparation. No experience or a production budget is needed. A couple of years ago the games were almost, but not quite as wretched, but they worked hard to improve.

That is the story of the game. Hit even 30% from 3 point land and it is a blowout.

Listen to the post game on the radio. Terry questioned Thomas ability to handle the ball. 3TOs but it should have been 5 since the refs didn't call 2. I saw it against GT when he had 2 in the first 2 minutes. Need a floor general. I saw Frederick positioning players when shooting free throws. CWM threw the team under the bus as they say. he was displeased and said maybe they will listen now. Perhaps he is right and they got the big head after the GT blowout. He didn't play Jizzle due to lack of experience and the same with Bandago.. He alluded to a quicker perimeter team they had to defend against. I say we got this one out of the system. Learn that you have to do your best every night. It was interesting that CWM was late for the post game due to a long talk with Jizzle's father. Overall. I see why Simas L. is playing due to his overall game.At the end of regulation, I missed Skillings in there as Howard had nobody to guard him. I am happy with the win and now lets go on and improve. Go Cats.

the production on espn plus is in the hands of the home team. Howard wasn't prepared with the graphics, replay, camera work or announcers..

Howard would need to finish top 135 in NET for this to be a Q2 win. Considering Howard finished #214 last season, best case scenario is that this will be a Q3 win.

As a student at NKU when they entered D1, I worked basketball games and watched the production happen. At D1 schools with smaller budgets, the broadcasts are often done by students majoring in related fields and with broadcasters who are local to the area and are available for very little money.

Is it high quality? No. Is it as good as UC, a school with a significantly larger budget? Definitely not. But give these people credit for doing their best with what they got. They're working hard and their jobs just like we do.

Also, just as an FYI: ESPN+ is not ESPN. When you see a long list of smaller schools broadcasting games on ESPN+ or ESPN3, those are not "ESPN productions." ESPN is simply providing the platform of ESPN+/ESPN3 to air the productions of smaller schools that otherwise would have no audience.
